Tim Standing Heads up Operations
Medica’s Operations Manager Tim Standing, is to take on a wider operations role.
In his new role as Head of Operations, Tim Standing will see his responsibilities expand to cover all aspects of the operations process, from pre-press, production planning and arrival of raw materials into the facility, through to the final distribution of the finished cartons and leaflets to customers.
2015 sees Tim celebrating 21 years at Medica. During this period he has gained extensive experience across all areas of production and he has acquired a comprehensive knowledge of the business and its markets.
When Tim first joined Medica in 1994, he was a print machine operator. He then moved on to become a Team Leader in the print department, before becoming Print Manager and then a Shift Manager. In 2010, Tim moved into the role of Operations Manager.
Over the years Tim has witnessed many changes in the Medica business, most notably over the last year, when Sullivan Street took over the business and John Bath became CEO. Medica now concentrates on its core business, providing high quality printed cartons and leaflets to the pharmaceutical, healthcare and other closely related sectors.
Tim said, “In recent years Medica has become a much leaner and more streamlined operation with a more performance-focused mind-set, particularly in the last year since we became independent again. I am delighted to be taking on greater operational responsibilities in the business at a time when we are planning considerable investment, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.”
